San Diego Elopement

A charming San Diego Elopement Photography Rancho Valencia Wedding. Rancho Valencia is an exquisite venue for a romantic getaway in Southern California. Tucked away in the hills of Rancho Santa Fe, this premier wedding venue has over 45-acres with gardens, olive groves, and fountains. With the beautiful rose-burnt sienna frescoed colored walls, bright bougainvillea orchards and courtyards like the Valencia lawn gives this site a chic European feel. Perfect either for an intimate or large wedding.

This dreamy setting is elegant perfect any time of the year. I particularly love it off-season from November to March to get away from the cold or even during the summer to escape the heat from most of the hot summer months around the world. San Diego is known for the best weather year-round averaging 75 degrees.

How to have a  San Diego Elopement

For a destination elopement in San Diego, you can arrive a few days early to get pampered at the exquisite spa to prepare for your big day. Rumor has it that it hosts one of the best spas in California. Time permitting, you can extend your stay for a glamorous honeymoon. Stay at one of the Casitas or even a bungalow suite. A perfect itinerary to start your new life together.

Some fun day trips ideas are:

  • Torrey Pines (Beautiful hikes and sunsets)
  • La Jolla (make sure to visit the seals, walk around town, lunch)
  • San Diego’s Gas Lamp District (for dinner & some fun nightlife)
  • Little Italy – (Downtown San Diego)
  • Coronado Island
  • Del Mar
  • Carlsbad Village (for some shopping stop at Carlsbad’s Outlet)
  • A day trip to Mexico to a vineyard or a wine tour
  • Hot air balloon ride

Rancho Valencia Elopement

Garrett and Mckenna exchanged their vows in the Valencia Courtyard, followed by aperitifs for two and romantic dinner.
The finished the day with an intimate dinner with adorned with colorful floral arrangements.

From the Mckenna (the bride):
Garrett was my best friend before we ever started dating, which made the transition into dating so fluid and natural. I remember when I first met him, I couldn’t stop staring at his smile; it was so inviting and contagious, you couldn’t help but smile back. Garrett is a tease and always knows how to turn a sad moment into a funny one.
