An Enchanting Santorini Elopement

A Santorini Greece Elopement at Andronis Luxury Suites

Part One – Getting ready details & Wedding Ceremony 

Sofia and Kevin both live in Santa Barbara, California and eloped to Santorini, Greece. They are both from Santa Barbara, California and even before they got engaged, they had discussed eventually getting married outside of the USA. Their families are so spread out that it would have been difficult to round everyone up. Kevin’s family is in Chicago, and Sofia’s family is in California and New York. So choosing a location asking all of their family and friends to travel for a ceremony wasn’t something they wanted to do.

They had originally talked about getting married in Italy as Sofia’s family is originally Italian – but Kevin’s brother and sister-in-law were married in Capri, Italy (their elopement also photographed by yours truly). Sofia & Kevin wanted to something uniquely for themselves, and because they love to travel, they picked Greece. Kevin had never been, and Sofia had only been on a budget Greece trip with some girlfriends from college.

Ceremony at the Andronis Luxury Suites:

Sofia and Kevin didn’t want to have a “cookie-cutter” wedding elopement. They wanted their wedding day to be very relaxed and low-key and just a celebration of their union. So they chose to Elope. They both wanted to have the ceremony in a location that was representative of Santorini. What better place than a cliff view of the Caldera and the Aegean Sea? Sofia searched around and found the FABULOUS Andronis Luxury Suites. They allowed them to get married on their private terrace and it was magical.

Sofia’s was inspired by the neutral colors of Santorini, Greece. You see a lot of white and blue but then there’s the occasional pop of bright pink flowers or a red or green door. Sofia wanted a Grecian, flowing dress that felt natural and blended with the scenery. Kevin wore tan linen. It was rustic yet elegant and chic.
