A San Diego Elopement
Even though there are many beautiful places for a San Diego elopement, Sunset Cliffs in Southern California is probably one of my favorite places to photograph. Nature and ocean views are hard to beat if you are a nature buff. The rugged coastline, secluded beaches, and sandstone cliffs offer breathtaking panoramic ocean views from every angle.
Sunset Cliffs is a perfect for an elopement. With its 68-acre Natural Park, Sunset Cliffs is an ideal setting for an elopement or any romantic getaway like an engagement or even honeymoon.
The Park is close to San Diego’s downtown and other So-Cal coastal towns like Pacific Beach. A bit further up, is lovely North County with Del Mar and Solana Beach. Think miles of white sandy beaches roaring Pacific waves and Spring weather all year long.
Below is Kimberly+Luka’s romantic shoot for their San Diego elopement. Intimate and just the two of them.
The mood and inspiration for their San Diego elopement were to create something whimsical with a touch of bohemian. Both Kimberly and Luka are beach lovers, so they wanted something carefree and laidback. They wanted a place that was peaceful near the waves and an exquisite sunset.
Kimberly & Luca’s Story and how they decided on a San Diego Elopement
We met in Rome, Italy in high school almost 11 years ago. It was love at first sight! She was scared and shy, but after only one week I had already told her she was the woman of my life.. and since December 22nd, 2007 there was not a day we spent apart from each other. Inseparable. We grew up together, and we experienced life together. With joy, pain, mistakes and strong emotions we built our own private world.
We decided to escape together, like Romeo and Juliet and we moved to California to live our dream. We always dreamed of a private wedding in a California on a wild beach, just us, our souls and our love. We’ve always known our connection was Karmic, we are ancient soulmates who found each other once again in this life. Every day together is like the first, and when I look at her in her eyes, I always see the same endless horizon that I love watching on the beach. No matter what life will give us the only thing that really counts is to know that we will always exist for each other, in this life and all of the following.
