Let’s head on over to the Amalfi coast where I’d love  share with you a most lovely Ravello elopement captured along Amalfi Coast at the exquisite Belmond Caruso.

Gloria and Rob, are both from California, and decided to have  an intimate wedding along the Amalfi Coast at the Belmond.

Below are some suggestions for future brides who are thinking of eloping along with a few highlights of their day.

 What inspired you to choose to do a destination Ravello Elopement?

We wanted to celebrate each other in a place that embodied both of our souls. It was important that it was an intimate setting that was surrounded by water and beauty.

What were your favorite wedding day details?

We loved taking pictures at and around Ravello enjoying the many different beautiful views the Amalfi coast has to offer.

Inspiration/theme behind your Ravello elopement?

The both of us have such an affinity for the water and wanted to overlook the coastline from an indescribable view. Ravello on the Amalfi Coast captured this perfectly.

Did you have any DIY (do it yourself) details?

Tell us a little bit about how you chose your invitations, flowers, venue, and dress: Once we settled on the Amalfi Coast we reached out to a personal referral to Rochelle Cheever who made suggestions and gave us highlights of each town as they each had their own alluring characteristics. We decided we wanted to overlook the coast and chose Ravello for its intimate charm.

Overall, do you have any special advice you would like to share with other brides to help prepare them for their destination elopement?

Again, we were lucky to have fantastic referral from a friend to connect with our photographer Rochelle Cheever. She guided us with great suggestions for venues and other contacts. It was important to begin with a personal referral and than trust Rochelle to point us in the right direction from there. We were so lucky to have all of their expertise on the area and to let them use that expertise with their connections to bring all of our dreams and ideas to fruition.

We would love to hear how you met?

Or, How did you get engaged? We met on the east coast while both looking for someone to share our time with away from the hustle of busy work schedules. Gloria landed a job in California and asked Rob to take a leap of faith and join her in her journey back across the country (she is from SoCal). We packed what we could fit in the cars and travelled 3,000 miles together to Southern California. It wasn’t long after that Rob proposed on a private tour of Presqu’ile Winery in Santa Maria Valley.
