The 2014 Italy Wedding season has begun. Horray!
My first wedding in Positano this year was in mid-April, the very beginning of Spring 2014. It was an elopement of a darling Italian couple. Italians call “Elopement” a “Fuga D’Amore” which literally translates as a “Love-Escape.” I like the Italian translation better 🙂
As with every wedding or photo-shoot, I love to scout out locations and study space, color and light. I like to arrive a day or two earlier to prepare and, as I often say, “do my home-work.”The images below are of Positano captured in full bloom this past April. Roaming the streets, beaches and often off-the-beaten paths, this is what I saw & captured. And yes, this picturesque village is ready & waiting for the season ahead.
The beach umbrellas weren’t up yet so the beaches were wide open and free. Many hotels and restaurants were still painting their structures, adding their finishing touches & working hard to make it in tip-top condition for the year ahead. Positano will surely be enjoyed by all the lucky ones who will be visiting and getting married, engaged in Positano in 2014…many who I will soon see & photograph!
