Amalfi Coast Wedding Photography – Positano Elopement
Jennifer and Sia had a destination Positano wedding. One year ago to the date they met back home in California, They fell in love and decided to have a destination elopement. Actually, Jennifer had come across some photographs I had previously photographed in Positano and chose Positano through my images. (clap, clap)
In Italy there is a saying: “Sposa bagnata, Sposa fortunata.” Which means, a rain-on wet bride is a lucky bride. If true, then Jennifer will be a very lucky bride as it rained and rained. We did get lucky and had a few moments of clear weather to capture some open air photography. We also took cover under several beautiful covered spots (archways, churches etc) around the Amalfi Coast. And truth be told, I actually love rain photographs. They are dramatic and colours are so much richer.
Jennifer and Sia had their wedding ceremony at La Tagliata where they also stayed. (it is also a great restaurant)
Afterwhich, we rented a car & driver and drove through the Amalfi Coast stopping at strategic locations for their newly wed photography.
