This proposal is so adorable. Mehul, the groom-to-be, organized it all ever so carefully.
Mehul asked Manisha’s parents last year for her hand, he planned this trip to Italy with the proposal in mind and wanted it to take place at the beginning of his trip. His ideas were very clear: he wanted his proposal to take place in of front of the Colosseum in Rome (he thinks big). Together we planned his proposal time/location in order to have good romantic light and also so there wouldn’t be so many people around historical monument.
Manisha’s sister is a jeweler and together they created her ring who also did Manisha’s nails the day before she left for Rome, as she knew. Manisha, as you can see from the expressions in the photographs below, didn’t have a clue about Mehul’s proposal.
I played the “paparazzi” photographer hiding behind trees in the beginning as he proposed and soon after came out of hiding and scouted a few other locations Rome to take their photographs of the “newly engaged couple.”
No props, not many details, just their love & beautiful Roman backdrops which do all the talking.
