Destination Engagement Photography in Tuscany
Sasha & Robert got engaged in the heart of Tuscany. They had a three-day celebration for their destination wedding, and this post is all about their “Under the Tuscan Sun Engagement” the day before they said, their “I dos.” Their enchanting destination engagement photography in Tuscany.
The couple and the wedding party stayed at a romantic Borgo Relais Scopeto in the Chianti hills of Tuscany near Siena. The Estate has all the facilities, pool and luxurious rooms where even all their guests stayed. I think it is extra special when having a destination wedding to have all the guests stay in one place. Everyone gets to know one another well.
The Borgo truly is a pretty impressive location especially for a destination wedding and part of the movie “Letters to Juliet” was filmed here. The views from the Borgo are breathtaking. You can see the town of Siena, and you have 360-degree panoramic views of beautiful Tuscany. Rolling hills dotted with the Tuscan cypress trees to acres of local vineyards. The whole feel of the Borgo takes you back in time. It is a quaint village itself with its vineyards and secret gardens. “Borgo” means “little village.” The Relais Borgo Scopeto is extremely adaptable and is a perfect setting both for both large and small weddings. The whole scene is reminiscent of symbolic scenes taken from the book “Under the Tuscan Sun.” All the decor and food blend with the Sienese environment. Needless to say, getting married at this Venue leaves one with an experience that is forever memorable.
Il Relais Borgo Scopeto also won a Conde’ Nast award for best venue for Wedding and Events. The Relais offers so much for a destination wedding and also beautiful photography. Everywhere you look, is simply gorgeous. It has extensive grounds which are exclusive to many different locations within the property all exquisite for photographic backdrops. The impressive entrance alone with its Tuscan cypress lined driveway is stunning. Even inside the Villa, every corner is picture perfect with the brickwork, tower, and spacious rooms. One of my favorite places is the secret garden where I took Sasha & Robert for their engagement photography session. I saved the cypress driveway for their wedding day. Also for their pre-wedding photography itinerary, we roamed around the Estate’s vineyards for a gorgeous sunset shoot.
Sasha and Robert’s Tuscany destination engagement photo- session ended with a warm welcome BBQ get together in the front garden of the Relais.
