High school sweethearts. A love-story, still overflowing with so much love & happiness after 21 years and 14 yrs of marriage. As they say in Italy: Auguri & complimenti.
From Vanessa:
We always dreamed of traveling the world together and Italy was always a part of that dream. All of these years later, we have grown and changed in so many ways and yet we are more in love today than we have ever been. We wanted to write new vows because we wanted to promise each other different things. A young couples’ idea of marriage becomes very different after 14 years, three children and a greater understanding of life. We know ourselves better and we know each other better. We wanted the children to be a part of the vow renewal because we wanted to commit ourselves to them as well. It is an incredible experience to honor these feelings that we sometimes take for granted. To fly to Rome, dress up in our Sunday best and devote a whole day to the celebration of Love was an experience that we will never forget. We will never forget Rochelle for giving us these memories of the most perfect day.100% of my maternal ancestors are from Sicily. The town my Grandmother’s family is from is called Ciminna. My Grandfather’s family is from Caltanisetta. We were able to visit both on our epic month long tour of Italia.
…and I might add, a family so united. Their children were so full of life & life and so incredibly well-behaved. Such a joy to know and photograph.
Oh, and might add they are all home-schooled… just saying:)
