Fly Away Bride | Capri Destination Wedding Photography
To make the most of their Italian getaway, Andrea and Scott exchanged vows in Naples and, after walking through the town with their guests to cheers of “Auguri!” (luck) from local townspeople, they hopped aboard a private yacht and sailed to the island of Capri for their reception. Andrea planned the wedding with her wonderful wedding planner Alessia Santa of White Emotion and her mother, and Rochelle Cheever was there to capture their amazing day.
During the planning process, Andrea chose a hands-on approach and, with the help of her mother, put together many of the wedding details. Guests were welcomed with customized welcome bags that included a detailed itinerary of what was in store for the weekend. She also designed and created the invitations, escort cards, and menus. Inspired by the simplicity of Italian culture, Andrea and Scott wanted their day to be infused with local flavor wherever possible. Rather than traditional meals, the wedding party enjoyed late lunches and dinners of handmade pastas and fresh vegetables accompanied by local wines. Post-dinner, the wedding party made their way to Taverna Anema e Core, an iconic nightclub in Capri, for dancing into the small hours, followed by a day of relaxing and unwinding at a nearby beach club. The best decision they made, accruing to Andrea, was to marry in Italy. The couple would advise others traveling for a destination wedding to enjoy every moment spent both together and with guests- to make it the trip of a lifetime. Andrea and Scott certainly did- the couple enjoyed their destination wedding so much they plan to make the trip to Southern Italy an annual treat.
