Love, a clear reflection ⎜ Puglia with its crystal waters makes the perfect place for a destination wedding
The Mediterranean Sea is a dream destination, it wraps around Southern Italy and the region of Puglia. The undiscovered secrets of this unique area enticed me as the culture infused my photography during a destination wedding proving this ceremony had truly been one of a kind.
Sprigs of lavender and olive branches, mementos from the surrounding landscape, scented the elegant gowns and endeared tuxedoes.
Pumi pottery, a traditional symbol of good luck provided a resting place for fairytale Jimmy Choo shoes, which shimmered like the nearby water.
I wanted to use film to significantly capture more of the Pugliese culture. With that aim in mind, I teamed up with stylist Anna from In the Mood for Love after the ceremony. Anna ardently pulled from her own personal fashion collection to depict the local myth of La Sirenetta (the little mermaid) through photography and had the beautiful Silvia Siliberti (from Bari) model for us.
In this shoot I captured the sturdy stone shores from which San Vito grew, a small fishing village in Puglia with amazing seafood. The white city walls mirrored by surrounding crystal water illuminates amore.
Puglia with its white-washed stoned cities and calm clear sea is a dream backdrop transcending a beach destination wedding.
