A Lake Como Elopement
Sing-pey and Michael are an Australian couple currently living in the UK. They love Italy for its culture, friendly people, beautiful scenery and temperate climate. They always have such a wonderful and relaxing time when they visit Italy, and knew that it would be the perfect place for to celebrate our marriage!
They met in Sydney Australia while undergoing their specialty training as doctors. They now live in the UK but will eventually return home to Australia.
They had a destination elopement, just the two of them, at Villa Balbianello. They stayed at Varenna and rented a boat with a driver which took them all over the Lake for newly wed photographs. We stopped at Bellagio, Varenna and walked throughout the tiny streets.
Sing-Pey and Micheal rented out the Villa for a few hours and stayed until sunset. It was our last stop. Villa Balbianello is a stunning Villa and can be rented out certain days of the week. I usually suggest to all my couples, to opt for an afternoon for the best light and hence the best photography.
From the Bride, Sing-Pey “What were your favorite wedding day memories at Lake Como:”
There were many! But one of the most memorable would be leaving the spectacular Villa Balbaniello by boat, and being able to share this special moment with my husband. Another would be walking through the cobblestone streets of Bellagio and Varenna in my wedding dress, and being invited by an Italian couple to have our photographs taken in their beautiful garden overlooking Lake Como.
